Acceptance of these Terms

By using Versemap sites, services, and mobile applications (together, "Versemap" or "Services"), whether as a guest or a registered user, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read these Terms carefully before you start to use Versemap, as well as our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms or our Privacy Policy, you must not access or use Versemap.

Changes to the Terms

Versemap Artificial Intelligence LLC ("Versemap," "we," or "us") may revise and update these Terms at our sole discretion. Any changes are effective when we post them. Your continued use of Versemap following the posting of revised Terms means that you accept and agree to the changes.

If there is any contradiction between translations of these Terms, the English version shall take precedence.

Changes to Versemap

While we intend to continually improve Versemap, we reserve the right to change, suspend, or cease offering any portion or functionality of Versemap without notice. We will not be liable if for any reason all or any part of Versemap is unavailable at any time.

Information About You and Your Use of Versemap

All information we collect through Versemap is subject to our Privacy Policy. By using Versemap, you consent to all actions taken by us consistent with the Privacy Policy, including use of third-party providers such as OpenAI (AI processing), Supabase (data storage), and Stripe (payments).

Subscriptions and AI Usage Policy

Versemap provides tiered access to AI-powered features.

Definition of 1 AI Usage:

An AI usage is counted each time Versemap's AI generates a response to a user's input.

This applies across all features (e.g., VerseChat, "Get AI Insights," Journal reflections).

Examples:

Ask 1 question in VerseChat and get 1 reply → 1 usage
Request 1 Journal reflection and get 1 reply → 1 usage
Have a 30-message back-and-forth in VerseChat (30 inputs, 30 AI replies) → 30 usages

Usage is measured per AI response, not per conversation or session.

Daily Limits (per user, across all Versemap products):

Free Plan: 1 AI usage/day
Premium Plan: 50 AI usages/day
Pro Plan: 200 AI usages/day

Once you reach your daily limit, additional AI requests will not be processed until the next day.

Why limits exist:

Usage restrictions are necessary to:

Ensure fair access for all users
Manage hosting and AI processing costs
Maintain the speed, stability, and quality of Versemap's services

Permitted and Prohibited Use

You may use Versemap in accordance with these Terms for your personal, non-commercial use, or for the internal use of a non-profit religious organization. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by Versemap.

You may not use Versemap:

In violation of any federal, state, local, or international law or regulation
To exploit, harm, or attempt to exploit or harm minors
To impersonate Versemap, our staff, or another user
To upload or share defamatory, obscene, offensive, or unlawful content
To infringe any intellectual property rights of Versemap or others
To engage in commercial activity such as ads, contests, or promotions without authorization
To introduce viruses, malicious code, or attempt unauthorized access to Versemap systems
To overload or interfere with Versemap servers, APIs, or infrastructure

User Contributions

Versemap allows users to post, submit, store, or share content such as journal entries, sermon notes, VerseChat interactions, and other contributions ("User Contributions").

By providing User Contributions, you grant Versemap and its service providers (including OpenAI and Supabase) a limited license to use, store, process, and display such content as necessary to provide Versemap functionality.

Responsibility for Content:

You are solely responsible for your User Contributions.
If you upload or enter content that is plagiarized, copyrighted, or otherwise infringes the rights of others, you bear full responsibility.
Versemap Artificial Intelligence LLC does not review user content for copyright compliance and assumes no liability for user-submitted material.

Account Security

If you create a Versemap account, you must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach.

We reserve the right to disable any account that violates these Terms.

Monitoring and Enforcement

We have the right to:

Remove or refuse to post User Contributions for any reason
Suspend or terminate your access to Versemap for violations of these Terms
Disclose information about you if required by law or law enforcement
Take appropriate legal action, including referral to authorities, for unauthorized use

You waive and hold harmless Versemap and its providers from any claims arising from such enforcement actions.

Reliance on Information

Versemap provides Bible study tools, AI insights, and related resources for general informational purposes. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee the completeness or reliability of any content generated by AI or provided by third parties. Use Versemap content at your own discretion and risk.

Intellectual Property Rights

Versemap and its Services, including content, features, functionality, software, text, images, and design, are owned by Versemap Artificial Intelligence LLC or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

The Versemap name, logo, and all related designs are trademarks of Versemap Artificial Intelligence LLC. You may not use these without our prior written permission.

User Responsibility for Infringement: Any claim of plagiarism, copyright infringement, or misuse of intellectual property arising from your contributions is your responsibility as the user. Versemap Artificial Intelligence LLC is not liable for disputes resulting from content you upload, enter, or share through its Services.

Geographic Restrictions

Versemap is based in the United States. We make no representations that Versemap is accessible or appropriate outside the U.S. If you access Versemap internationally, you do so at your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws.

VERSEMAP AND ALL SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR UNINTERRUPTED.

Limitation on Liability

IN NO EVENT WILL VERSEMAP, ITS SERVICE PROVIDERS (INCLUDING OPENAI, SUPABASE, AND STRIPE), OR THEIR RESPECTIVE EMPLOYEES, OFFICERS, OR DIRECTORS BE LIABLE FOR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF VERSEMAP. THIS INCLUDES, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Versemap, its affiliates, and service providers from any claims, damages, or losses arising out of your violation of these Terms, your User Contributions, or your misuse of Versemap.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any legal proceedings shall be brought exclusively in federal or state courts located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

Waiver and Severability

No waiver by Versemap of any term shall be deemed a further waiver of that term. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute the sole and entire agreement between you and Versemap Artificial Intelligence LLC with respect to the Services and supersede all prior agreements.
